How to find your shade

    Test on the jaw

    Apply two or three shades on the jawbone and check them in daylight. The right colour almost disappears into the skin.

    Mind the undertone

    If a foundation looks grey or ashy, it lacks red or golden pigments. Then choose a shade with a warmer base.

  3. 3

    Set with a tinted powder

    White translucent powder can flash back in photos. Our loose powder in N400 or N500 sets without leaving a cast.

Many formulations lack enough red, orange or golden pigments, so an ashy veil settles over the skin. Shades with the right undertone prevent that – which is why every INCEPTION depth comes in warm, neutral and cool.

Look at your skin in daylight: a golden sheen means warm, a reddish one cool, a slightly greenish one olive. The undertone finder above helps you decide.

A tinted powder instead of white translucent powder: INCEPTION loose powder comes in five depths up to N500. That avoids the bright flashback in photos.

Delivery takes 3–5 days with DPD. From €100 we ship free of charge.
