A lipstick that has vanished after the first coffee is not a good lipstick – or it was applied badly. Usually it is the latter. With five moves from everyday backstage work, colour lasts significantly longer without drying out the lips.
Ten shades, one principle: few but right colours
Instead of fifty variants we have concentrated the INCEPTION lipstick on ten shades that together cover every skin tone:
- Nude and rosé – Antoinette, Loulou, Mariette: for fair to medium skin and the natural everyday look. On dark skin as a base under gloss.

Unsure? Hold the lipstick next to your lips in daylight: the right shade is one or two levels more intense than your natural lip colour.
Five tricks that make colour last
- 1. Prepare: include your lips when applying night care in the evening; in the morning blot off any residue – every lipstick slides on an oily base.
- 2. Outline with the brush: with the No. 11 lip brush trace the outline first, then fill from the outside in. That gives more precision than the bullet itself.
- 3. Blot and repeat: blot the first layer with a tissue, apply a second layer. That way the colour clings like a stain.
- 4. Powder very lightly: lay a tissue over the lips and dust a minimal amount of loose powder over it with the powder brush – sets without mattifying.
- 5. Soften the edges: blend the outline slightly with the clean brush or a cotton bud; hard edges reveal every bit of fading immediately.
When Powder Gloss is the better choice
For a soft, slightly shimmering effect without stickiness, the INCEPTION Powder Gloss is the alternative: a powdery gloss worn alone or over lipstick. Shades such as Petal and Doll look natural on fair skin, Sirène and Charnelle give dark lips depth, Paris and Milano are the evening classics.
